Introduction
Cash Captain is built to help you track spending and collaborate with people you trust. This policy describes what we collect, why we use it, and how household sharing works in the product.
Information you provide
When you sign up or use the app, you may provide an email address, name or display information, and the transaction notes, amounts, categories, and similar entries you choose to save. If you invite others to a household, you may also share access to shared spaces according to the product's roles and permissions.
Information collected automatically
Like most web apps, we may collect technical data such as device type, browser, approximate region, and usage signals that help us fix bugs, improve performance, and understand which parts of the product matter most. We may use analytics in accordance with our settings and your choices where applicable.
How we use information
We use account and financial-entry data to operate Cash Captain: sync your data, display balances and insights, run categorization and search, and support multi-user households. We may use aggregated or de-identified data to improve the product and prioritize features.
Households and shared access
When you join or create a household, other members may see information shared within that space, depending on how the product is configured. You should only invite people you trust; you control invitations and membership within the limits of the app.
Retention and security
We aim to protect your data with reasonable technical and organizational measures. We retain information as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with law, or resolve disputes. Exact retention periods will be spelled out in the final policy.
Your choices
Depending on region and product settings, you may request access, correction, export, or deletion of certain data, and you may opt out of some communications. Availability of these options may evolve with the product.
