Week 6: Goals Are Here

Create savings goals, track progress, link them to accounts, and assign transfers so savings stop being mystery money.

407 users as of Apr 28. This week is all about Goals. Create savings goals, track progress, connect a goal to a dedicated account, and assign transfers into those goals. This is the feature that makes Cash Captain feel less like 'I recorded what happened' and more like 'I know what this money is for.'

v0.6.1
Improved

Transfer fees in Quick Entry

Add a transfer fee in the fee field and Cash Captain keeps the transfer amount, fee, and history lined up. Sorry this took so long to ship.

1

Honest transfer totals

The source account shows the real amount that left, including the fee. The destination still gets what actually arrived.

2

Clearer transfer rows

Transfer history displays fee-backed transfers without making them look like ordinary expenses.

v0.6.0
New

Goals

Create savings goals for emergency funds, travel, gadgets, or anything else you're working toward. Give every peso a job.

1

Track progress at a glance

Each goal has its own target, progress, icon, and detail view.

2

Use a budget or a dedicated account

Keep goals budget-backed, or link one to a real savings account so Cash Captain treats that account like a savings pool.

3

Assign transfers as you save

When money moves into a linked account, Cash Captain asks how much should go to each goal.

Fixed

Calendar totals fixed

Manual money adjustments now show up in calendar totals, so daily and monthly views match what you expect.

Fixed

Deleted categories stay deleted

Removed categories could still count their old budget money in the background. That ghost money is gone now.
